Hilton Antwerp Old Town

I visited Antwerp from 5–7 September 2026 and wanted a hotel that was (a) within easy walking distance of the city’s main attractions (the Cathedral, Grote Markt, the Meir, Het Steen, dining spots, etc.) and (b) reputed for its comfort and service. After some research, I chose the Hilton Old Town Antwerp, and the experience could not have been better. The building itself is grand and iconic, instantly recognizable from a distance. Right in front lies Groenplaats Square, lined with eateries. A very short stroll took me to the Cathedral and Grote Markt, with its majestic Town Hall and historic guild houses. Turning right from the hotel entrance led directly to the Meir shopping street, which stretches all the way to the impressive Antwerp Central Station. My room was spacious and comfortable, with a large bathroom and bathtub. The staff were warm, hospitable, and always ready to help. I’d like to give special mention to Mila, who went out of her way to assist me in finding where to buy certain items and even mapped out the route for me. Her effort made a real difference. All in all, the Hilton Old Town Antwerp made my stay in the city truly comfortable, enjoyable, and memorable. If I return to Antwerp, there’s no doubt I will stay here again.

The hotel is a Hilton, and it checks all the Hilton boxes. Room, bathroom and ventilation are very good. Key points were location - it is a very few steps from the OLV cathedral. Antwerpen was a large city in its 16th century prime - keeping that in mind almost everything is in walking distance and the transit system is simple. Second key point: the staff - who were beyond helpful. Cordial, gracious and good humored. Helped me navigate a railway strike among other things.

The best things about this well-run hotel are its location and the inclusions (value for money). You can walk from the train station, it is right in the old town and you can walk everywhere of interest. The room is very large and spacious, one of the few rooms we have stayed in similar hotels which actually has two comfortable chairs and a desk in addition to a place to put your suitcase, beverage facilities, large and spotless bathroom. Many thanks Hilton Antwerp, I will use Hilton hotels again.

Everything was great, the room was large and comfortable, everything was very clean, the hotel provided outstanding breakfast in the restaurant on the first floor, and location was excellent.

Great hotel with an excellent location and very good ventilation. The breakfast was enjoyable and special, and we really liked the setting downstairs. Overall, the location is perfect.
